Optimal Building is Pleased to Share Our 2023 Year End Accomplishments.
Here are some milestones after a busy and successful year assessing buildings and recommending energy cost measures improving energy efficiency for building operations all over the country, they include the following:
2023 - Conducted 48 energy audits consisting of LEED Certifications requiring ASHRAE LI & LII Audits, New Building Commissioning Assignments (Cx), Special Energy Consulting projects involving Energy Analytics & Sub-metering strategic development and EBEWE Energy & Water Audits for the City of Los Angeles LADBS Energy Ordinance.
Our total YTD metrics from the start of Optimal Buildings 2014 business launch, we have assessed, audited or evaluated over 125,000,000 square feet of space consisting of over 475 buildings thus far in the United States, Canada, and China.
This total consists of several categories of building types that include commercial office, retail mixed use, schools, warehouse – industrial, a church, malls and multifamily buildings. Some of the buildings assessed include the AON Center in downtown Los Angeles, The Beverly Center Mall, The SMUD Museum of Science and Curiosity in Sacramento, Ross Tower and the Lincoln Center in Dallas Tx, 180 Maiden Lane in NYC, The Iconic San Francisco Ferry Building, 50 California, The Russ Bldg., The Memorial Herman Medical Building in Houston, Bishop Ranch’s 20+ buildings in San Ramon, the 707 Wilshire Blvd. Building (The Aon Center) in Los Angeles, 800 Fifth Street in Seattle and the Shanghai Tower (One of the largest & most energy efficient buildings In the world) and recognized by BOMA International for Excellence in Global Innovation.
Optimal Building has also conducted over fifty five (55) commercial, warehouse-industrial, mixed-use, multifamily, shopping centers, schools (K-12 & HS) and church buildings assessed for the Los Angeles Existing Buildings Energy & Water Efficiency Program (EBEWE) ordinance. We were also happy to be able to conduct a Pro-Bono Project for a struggling church.
As we approach several major milestones with our company achievements, a few metrics stand out:
- Approaching 120,000,000 lb-co2-yr/ total GHG – reduction.
- 12 Audits short of reaching 500 (Five Hundred) buildings assessed.
- Recommended & or reduced more than 90,000,000 kilowatts of energy.
- Recommended & or reduced more than $12.5 million dollars in annual energy costs.
- Averaged .80 kWh/Sq.Ft. or $0.14 $/Sq.Ft. of energy reduction saving for buildings.
